The EMGM Young Investigator Award
The EMGM wishes to support young scientists in the field of molecular epidemiology of invasive disease caused by meningococci or Haemophilus influenzae.
The EMGM board has therefore decided to make an award for the best publication of 2010/2011 (year of online publication).
Terms and conditions:
- Applicants must be first authors of the paper.
- Maximum age is 35 years.
- The work must have been conducted at a European reference laboratory for meningococci or Haemophilus influenzae.
- EMGM membership of the first author / applicant is not a prerequisite.
- The winner will be awarded with a travel support of 1000 EUR for the IPNC meeting in Würzburg, Germany, 2012 (www.ipnc2012.de).
- Deadline: March 15th, 2012
Applicants are requested to submit the following items by email to the secretary of the EMGM (Dr. Georgina Tzanakaki, gtzanakaki@esdy.edu.gr):
- a cover letter referring to the EMGM Young Investigator Award,
- the publication (preferably a PDF file if possible),
- a short CV.
An independent scientific committee will be invited to select the best publication by end of April 2012.
